Working for a highly successful property management company within a friendly finance team of 6, you will be the Accounts Reconciliation Administrator/ Customer Accounts Assistant.   We are based in beautiful offices just outside Godalming with free parking. You must have your own transport.

This is a varied role which includes preparation of bank reconciliations and regular review of expenditure (particularly utilities) and committee costs.  You will assist with the production of service charge budgets and accounts for 6,000 residents and the commercial portfolio.

 

You must have experience of bank reconciliations and ideally accruals and prepayments too.  We need someone who will pick things up quickly & not need too much hand holding although there is training.  Experience of service charge accounts would be a big plus.  Having said that, the most important thing is attitude and to be accurate in your work and have strong communication skills.  So, if you have reconciliation experience but are lacking in other areas please still apply as we can teach you the rest.

 

Tasks:-

  • Quarterly account reviews
  • Run quarterly audit and committed cost reports
  • Identify missing invoices
  • Close old orders down
  • Review utilities expenditure
  • Process invoices
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for residential and retirement service charge accounts
  • Preparing and checking accruals and prepayments
  • Run monthly commercial charges report
  • Answering queries from scheme manager and property managers and chase them for missing information
  • Liaise with internal team members
  • Cover colleagues in other accounting functions

  • Understand accounting procedures
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Word, Excel and outlook
  • Strong communication skills (not afraid to pick up the phone)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
